The BRC standard, is a global standard for food safety created by the British Retail Consortium, the organization to which it owes its initials. It was created with the dual purpose of, on the one hand, ensuring the compliance of suppliers and, on the other hand, providing retailers with a tool with which to guarantee the quality and safety of the food products they sell.
The final registration rule requested by the US FDA, 21 CFR §§ 1225-1243, requires owners and operators of all domestic and foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack or hold food that will be consumed in the United States to register with the US FDA.
Kosher certification is a process by which a company ensures that their food is kosher, or in other words, fit for consumption by observant Jews.
Halal simply means permitted or lawful. So when we are talking about "halal foods" it means any foods that are allowed to be eaten according to Islamic Sharia law. This means that for any food to be considered halal it must comply with the religious ritual and observance of Sharia law.
